I have eaten here twice and loved both dishes. I had the Beef Pho (P16) and it was just about perfect. The 2nd time I tried the Pho Ga (chicken pho) and it too was delicious. The broth is what makes pho either OK or great and the broth in both dishes was really good. I could tell that it had simmered for a long time and the flavors were wonderful.I will definitely be back and look forward to the next time.
This is one of the best pho places I've visited. I'm from Vietnam so pho is an addiction that I acquired over 70 yrs ago. I've now moved to Sonoma and love the food here. The broth in pho dishes is essential, really the sine qua non that you just can't fake. My mother made pho broth by blistering a knob of ginger, and then simmering it along with cinnamon, bones, fish sauce etc. for over 10 hrs. The result was a complex mix of flavors that is just sublime when done right, let alone being healthy for you. The same goes for Pho Ga broth, chicken pho, it's all in the tender loving care that goes into making a broth that includes aniseed. Well, Pho Ha does a great job and I can't wait to go back. My husband and I are regulars now and while not many people seem to frequent the establishment, I'm here to provide the testimonial that you're missing out on really wonderful food. Besides, pho, the rest of the dishes are also very good and we love them all so far.
Not the best Vietnamese food I've had, but it's the only on in town. Pho is decent and what I usually order after trying other dishes. Either dine-in or DoorDash. Don't bother calling ahead for pickup unless you get the son on the phone or speak Vietnamese. The mom doesn't speak english so she'll likely hang up on you like she did to me when I tried ordering for pickup.
We tried Pho Ha when they first opened were left completely dissatisfied. I'd been wanting to give them a second chance I'm glad I finally did. From the reviews I read, the B1 Grilled Prawns was a popular option so I went with that. The smell alone convinced me it was going to be good the flavor proved it. Everything was well cooked seasoned the portion was large enough for leftovers. I'm happy I tried Pho Ha again, because the B1 is definitely a winner!
