Sonoma Grille And

Have eaten at Sonoma Grill several times in past and always found it exceptional. Our last visit proved disappointing. Clearly short staffed, good but slow service, food OK. My sole was perfectly cooked but bland. Husband reports steak good but garlic potatoes were bland. Asparagus was excellent. Creme brûlée taste was good but texture off. Coffee and cappuccino both good. Perhaps just and off night?

We've never had a bad meal here and we frequent this restaurant. Salmon was cooked to perfection and the grilled asparagus and pea pods were delicious. If you have a food allergy they'll do their best to substitute. We liked the new cocktail menu. As always, the service is prompt and friendly. We love eating outside here as the bar inside the restaurant can get noisy if it's near happy hour.

I have always liked this restaurant, but this time it was an off night and it felt like the staff had changed. Service was slow, the worst Cesar salad ever, and the fish was dry and tough, maybe from sitting under the heat lamp too long. Quality did not match the price.

The service was excellent. Was 100 degrees that day and the AC was struggling to work. It was warm inside. We stopped in last minute on our way home at 3:45. The prime rib was the special for the day but it didn't have any flavor. I ordered a pasta dish which was disappointing. Lunch may be better. Burgers and sandwiches were what we were hopping to order but we received dinner menus with only heavy entrees listed, no lighter fare available at that time.

I can't remember now how many times we have dined here, but it's been a lot. Since dining here the first time, it has become our go to place for after the NASCAR race. We love the food and service.
