Soquel Quality Meats

Stopped in just to pick up a drink this morning. Was completely ignored by employees. 2 men working behind the meat counter. Walked the whole store so I know they saw me. Took my drink to the register and waited, and waited. Finally left.

The best meat market I've ever been to!Not only do they have a wonderful selection, but they wouldn't give up and hunted for me when I came in with a unique order. They sliced the goat right in front of me and let me pick which parts I wanted!Everyone was so friendly, funny, and helpful!My new favorite place!!!

Bought a few rib steaks here the other day. Not sure where this place gets their meats, but I must tell you the steaks had an off flavor, sort of gamey, hard to describe and tough. Barbecued them and the lack of marbling was obvious. For what I paid, was not what I was expecting with all the rave reviews this place gets. I have one steak left and will cube it up now for chili, don't think it will survive the barbecue by itself as it has zero marbling and don't want to deal with another tough, chewy and stringy steak. Sadly, will go elsewhere in the future.

Great meat! Super friendly staff! I work close to there and go often. And on top of that they have a kick a food truck out front. Highly recommend and great prices.
