Le Relais Du Sel - Sospel

I visited this restaurant on my own. I was ushered into the dining room and left to find a seat. I chose the smallest table in the room a window table, set for three. As I was about to sit down, I was told I couldn't sit there, as I was eatng alone. Very embarrassing, as all the other diners looked on. I was put on a table at the back of the room (set for 4! , well away from the other diners. I felt like a pariah. The food was excellent. It's a shame that those people serving didn't seem to realise that single people, on holiday, need to go out to eat, just as everyone else does, and would like to feel welcome. I have since noticed that someone else made a similar comment in a review. Clearly, things need to change, as an increasing number of people go out to dine alone.

Genuine cooking, very nice outside in summer time!

60 kilometers to go to this address and frankly, we did not regret it. Very good reception, friendly staff and affordable prices. Just walk a little to find a place, on the terrace, by the Bevera under the trees. It is definitely for us an address to advise and come back!

It's an excellent value for money in Sospel. I ate two gaspachos, one of the tomatoes at the entrance, the other of the red fruit with two bowls of dessert ice, separated by a thigh of duck candied with grapes and honey. That's good and very kind. The whole river under an old green oak, for 30€ of beer included. Thank you.
