Perhaps, but improvements are needed or the costly refurbishment will be in vain. The quality of the food may be inconsistent, but the service is usually good. However, when both the food and service are poor, it's a disappointment.
The hotel is in desperate need of a significant upgrade. The new owners have not invested in the property, resulting in an understaffed and disappointing experience.
We had a great time at our afternoon tea. The staff was very accommodating to our children and seated us earlier than our reservation. The food was delicious and we had lots of extra treats to share on our tray.
Located within the Marine Hotel, Troon a pleasant atmosphere with in the Arran Bar aptly named because the hotel itself faces the island of Arran, tea was piping hot which to us is important with the usual offerings that you get when ordering afternoon tea.
Beautiful building , interior was just as beautiful , friendly staff and wonderful afternoon tea, couldn't fault it .
