Fast convenient Mexican supporting a good cause in close proximity to the Lady Cilento Children 's Hospital and Mater. I 'll admit that my first impression wasn 't very positive the flavor combinations just didn 't do it for me (I 'm more of a Guzman y Gomez type for burritos). But, what got me to return was the fact that I could order any combination of ingredients in any form that I wanted. I 've been avoiding carbs, so I order 3 large scoops of chicken with cheese and lettuce and they just charge you $3 per scoop of meat and $0.50 per serving of cheese. Most of my colleagues like that is is 'lighter ' Mexican and everyone raves about the black rice.

Absolutely love the place...great interior with alot of seating...the mexican food is just great here. A regular burrito will fill you up. I personally think Zambrero's is a whole lot better than Guzman Y Gomez or any of the typical Mex chains for Mexican food. But you won't find any chips here. Catered mostly for the health conscious, Zambrero's is set up like a Subway with a choice of bases and fillings, with snacks available too. They have a two for Tuesday deal where you can get 2 burritos for $20 on Tuesdays. Also abit of revenue from every meal sold goes to feeding the needy!
