Dairy Queen Grill Chill - South Daytona

I'm kind of biased when it comes to dairy Queen. They have very few restaurants. The majority are half restaurants which means they only serve ice cream or blizzards or milkshakes. Now I like the full size restaurant which is where it was today. They serve cheeseburgers hot dogs french fries grilled cheese sandwiches eta. in addition to the ice cream blizzards and milkshakes. I got the cheeseburger french fries and a strawberry banana milkshake. The cheeseburger was very well cooked it was better than Wendy's and Burger King and McDonald's. I say dairy Queen is my favorite restaurant over all of them. The french fries are okay. Restaurant with clean bathrooms clean friendly environment very welcoming the very relaxing and cool considering how hot it is outside. The milkshake I was in heaven. Now considering how hot is Florida in the summer time and how hot it is right now I would recommend going to this restaurant and eating your lunch just to cool down from the heat even if you don't eat lunch they have fantastic ice cream blizzards and milkshakes and so many other things. This is a good restaurant to get out of the Sun. It's too bad that there's not very many dairy Queens around especially the ones that serve lunch.

The ladies working were so friendly and so nice! The food was good and plentiful. And the restaurant was clean!

I ordered the 6 chicken strip combo meal, over $11...I got 6 pieces of chicken, but the French fries were larger than a most of the pieces...and 2 of the pieces were way darker, like they 'd been dropped a second time to heat up to fill my order...see attached photo.I couldn 't believe it when I opened the box. I went up to the counter showed the manager (am so glad I wasn 't drive-thru and opening it when I got home, because the location was sure willing to consider that my meal)! The manager said he 'd cook a couple pieces ...they came out several minutes later, super crunchy dry...kinda dark on the coating, like maybe they were cooked, forgotten dropped back in Fryer for 30 seconds to heat up or something...The pic on left is first meal , box on right are the add-on attempt.Very disappointed for a meal over $11. I emailed Dairy Queen that afternoon, no response....so posting here as a public review!
