This is one of my favorite restaurants! I really enjoy their use of yam noodles and the consistently fresh fish. However, my absolute favorite part is the Sesam Gomae sauce. It has the perfect blend of savory and sweet flavors, and I wish they sold it in bottles because I would use it on everything! The service is always quick and friendly, making it a fantastic dining experience. I would give it a 10/10 rating!
I have been a regular customer at Go Fish Poke Bar for a few years now. However, my recent visit has left me questioning whether I will return. Today, I was disappointed to receive a significantly smaller portion of food for the same price. Typically, the bowls are generous in size, but this time my bowl was only half filled. It seems that whoever prepared my order did a poor job. After reading other reviews, it appears that this is not an isolated incident, as other customers have also experienced receiving less food for the same price. This was a disappointing experience.
Tldr; PIECE HAIR PLASTIC FOUND IN POKE BOWL I found a large piece of plastic in the imitation crab meat. Because it is a fairly large, visible piece of a plastic, it is not understandable that someone would be able to mix the crabs or spoons without noticeing the plastic. There was also a repulsive gray hair in my poke, which I found extremely disgusting: it not only portrays Fish Poke Bar's careless practices, but also shows the lack of care and supervision that goes into any meal - this simply opens up the question of which other suspicious, unhygienic practices methods (that the Santa Clara County Public Health Department should inspect) go behind the scenes. Go Fish used to be a clean, friendly Poke shop, but its quality has deteriorated exponentially since its opening. Staff never seem to care, so their terrible customer service. In addition, the portion sizes and the quality of the food have decreased significantly. For example, they fill your bowl with very little fish, and if you order rice it will most likely be very cold and hard (probably because it is rice yesterday). Overall, I would not pay for these overpriced, unsanitary and low-quality foods, and I hope other people realize that there are other poke shops in the area that actually serve food that is worth their price.
The poke here is incredible. I'd say one of the best in the area. I usually get the spicy aioli salmon bowl because salmon is my favorite type of sashimi. All the topping flavors mix so we'll together, I definitely recommend getting poke from here. So good. Also add extra spicy tempura flakes.
