The parts were large, but the chips were partially boiled and swimming in fat. A real Shame and now I understand why the parking lot was empty on Saturday at 5:00.
This was formerly the best fish and chip shop in the area, but very disappointed by yesterday's meal. I usually have a small fish because the big ones are enormous. The little ones were a “normal” size compared to other places. The fish I got yesterday was very small and thin, not thick enough to have a texture. Bad, the dough was pale and muddy and I had to scrape it off, I gave him the dogs. Maybe you need a “medium” size properly cooked for a normal part.
Wow, what an incredible fish bar. 2 young ladies serving, very polite and order absolutely right. They seem new and brilliant. The frit, another young lady, completely new what she did to control the ship like an experienced admiral....Food beautiful and cargo of it. Such a shame that we are only here on vacation, or we would definitely be regular!
The worst fish and chips I've had for years are disgusting. This place, as we left the hill so much as we go left, we will never use this chippy again
Hi first time going to the admiral since Steve packed up and I got there at 17.30 on Saturday 4 September and when I walked in I noticed only half the top of the range was lit up and in use and I could not...see any fish cooked and I asked for 2 small cod and they got 2 out of the rang , I thought at the time they did not look very good when I got home they were dark brown and the batter was that hard you could not cut it with a knife and when I looked at the receipt to phone up and complain, I see they had charged me for 2 large cod £5 xtra, can I just had that it looked like 3 school children were working at the chip shop , and I have been informed that a Muslim family that own the greyhound at woodville own the admiral now it used to be that good when Steve h ran the admiral I used to travel from church gresley, this is a true account from mr bird
