Costa Coffee - South Derbyshire

A quick drop in at 9am to grab a coffee on the way to a customer. Well that’s what I thought, only one person in front of me ordering one drink, easy. Well the two servers had other ideas, it took more than 15 mins to get a medium black coffee. The constant chat between the servers took up all of that time, to a point where after they eventually made my coffee, they asked if I wanted milk in it. Now I’m not a trained barista but I tend not to put milk in my black coffee, maybe that’s just me! More work less chat maybe?

What on earth has happened to the staff at Costa in swadlincote.They used to be so nice and friendly .Now they are mostly miserable,unhelpful and everything seems to be too much trouble.I have been visiting regular with a group of friends and just lately the staff are terrible.Especially a young girl called Kerry who has served us several weeks in a row.She doesn’t know how to speak to customers and is rude,surly and quite patronizing whenever you ask her anything.She quite clearly doesn’t want to be there .She needs to definitely look for another job as a customer facing role is not for her !!,

Costa Coffee Swad is the place to be !!! Lovely atmosphere , welcoming staff and customer service is excellent

Visited here February march coffee was ok but not happy with the cleanliness , tables cluttered the windows higher up need a good clean loads of cobwebs higher up near windows and light flexes wooly with cobwebs above where you eat your food . Staff don't seem to care much about it either. Could do with a good refurb.

Came to costa last week and asked for a frostino with no cream they put cream on and scraped it off with a spoon! And then I went again today they did the same thing again but did not put any chocolate sauce on and they gave me a lid to make it smaller rather than a domed lid so I got less than I payed for!
