Tacos Mexico - South Gate

The food is decent, but the restaurant has a C grade. I didn’t notice the grade until after I had already ordered and paid for my meal. They only display the letter grade on the side of the building, not in a prominent spot.

The tacos are decent, the prices are reasonable, and the service is good. It's conveniently located next to a car wash.

The food at this small chain is quite good. This location only has outdoor seating, and although it was cold and windy, the meal was enjoyable. However, they don’t serve coffee.

Tuesdays they have the most delicious fish tacos for only $1.50. They are hot, crunchy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. They are covered in cabbage, crema, and salsa. This was my go-to spot for lunch when I worked in South Gate. The other food is great too, but the tacos on a budget are the best. They also do $1.50 tacos on Thursday, but not fish: asada, chicken, al pastor, and carnitas. It's a small building attached to a car wash.
