My partner tends to order the same dish each time, and the results can range from just okay to amazing. It seems like the outcome might depend on who is cooking that particular night.
We ordered a delivery so disappointed not only did it take 95 mins the food was awful. Ribs poor Satay chicken ok, rice ok chicken balls sauce tasted vinegary. Szechuan prawns tasted like they were already cooked then out into dish. I will not be getting any food from here again £67 Wasted as far as I am concerned.
Both my partner and I ordered chow mein - I had the plain while he had the chicken. Both dishes were very greasy and had an unusual taste. Unfortunately, a few hours later, we both became ill - experiencing stomach issues, diarrhea, and I even vomited. We have been customers of Lucky House for years, but this time the food was terrible.
I have ordered takeout from Lucky House a few times and decided to treat my family this time. I called in my order and despite the restaurant being busy, our food was ready for pickup in just 30 minutes. The staff were helpful, polite, and friendly. As a family of six, we ordered various curries, fried rice, chow mein, sweet and sour chicken balls, and chips. The food was freshly prepared, cooked perfectly, and served piping hot. The flavors of all the dishes were wonderful and we all enjoyed the meal, evidenced by our six empty plates and full bellies. I personally recommend the Special Curry Extra Hot. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be visiting again as soon as lockdown conditions allow.
