Contribuisci feedbackI cannot find any fault with the food or the price at this restaurant. We enjoyed our meal and the setting was beautiful; the hall itself was quite impressive. My only feedback is that I feel like they missed an opportunity. When we mentioned to a local that we were dining there, they seemed impressed, and upon arrival, I understood why. However, upon looking at the menu, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. Given the elegant surroundings and grand entrance, I was surprised to see items like burgers, curry, and fish and chips on the menu. I was expecting a more upscale dining experience with locally sourced ingredients to match the high level of service and location. I would have gladly paid more than the £14 price for a main course for something a bit more special. While the food was good, it felt a bit lackluster and pre-made at times (for example, the pâté). I would recommend the chicken pie, but would not recommend the brownie as it did not quite meet my expectations of a traditional brownie and needed ice cream or cream to accompany it.
I couldn't find any faults with this place. I stayed for two nights and dined at Mason's both evenings. The menu was diverse, the food was delicious and well-prepared. I would definitely dine there again.
During our overnight stay at Tracy Park Hotel, we had dinner at Masons Restaurant. The meal was incredibly good value, with efficient and friendly service and perfect timing between courses. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The portion sizes were just right, although I may have overindulged due to how good everything tasted - I couldn't resist ordering dessert too.
Pro 's 1) Excellent location and surroundings. 2) Friendly staff 3) Prices are 'reasonable ' Con 's 1) Limited Menu (menu should also be published on their website). 2) The food was disappointing. Flavorless lamb and huge tasteless croquette. 3) Staff need better training. For example, don 't bring the bill and stand at the table waiting. 4) We had to walk to the bar to pay as for some reason a card machine could not be brought to our table.
Went there for a Sunday roast was not dissapointed food was great lovely choice of starters main and desserts even tho we never had a dessert reason being we were to full from the starters and main masons was lovely and warm fire glowing all staff were happy to help and polite could not fault the day apart from the weather but it never dampen the food would deffo eat there again if they don't change their chefs!
