The Gingerbread Man Coffee Shop

This restaurant is wonderful! The staff are friendly and the food is outstanding. The attention to detail and presentation are exceptional.

I believe this restaurant is now called Magnolia Mews, but I was eager to give it a try. I was just passing through, so I decided to get some items to take out. Unfortunately, the hot drink I ordered had too much syrup in it, giving the coffee a strange taste and it also seemed burnt. If you plan on visiting, make sure you go early as most of their cakes were sold out by lunchtime. The cake I did have was delicious, so I have no complaints about that.

The lunch we had was absolutely delicious. We ordered the salmon and poached eggs on muffin with hollandaise sauce, and it was fantastic. The service was excellent, the food was fresh, hot, and incredibly tasty. We also tried the shortbread and flapjack for dessert, and they were both delicious. This was the best meal I've had in a long time.

What a lovely bonus to have such a great place on our doorstep. The service here is amazing, so friendly and helpful, even when you can see how busy and rushed off their feet they are. Nothing too much trouble. The food was excellent and the cakes fabulous. Really good value for money as well and Dog friendly. Certainly the best cafe in the village and surrounding area. Well done to the owners for running such a great business.
