Most of us went for pork, with one lamb and a couple of turkey and ham pies. All served with a good selection of veg, ample portions and good service. Some of us managed pudding, quite expensive but equally good to eat. Washed down with a local real ale all in all good value. Very busy, sunshine helped but would suggest best to reserve
Friendly staff, amazing food and intriguing and cosy historical building in a beautiful setting. Sausage sandwiches were spot on and cakes for dessert were delicious. Casual laid-back atmosphere, dogs welcome.
Excellent Sunday lunch. Roast beef and roast pork were lovely. Great selection of ales. Staff were very welcoming and service was very prompt. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be going back in the future. Well done Tom, Tina and the team.
We visited for Sunday lunch. Excellent choice on the menu, made to feel very welcome and the food was delicious. Very cosy inside with the fires lit on a cool day.
Outstanding hospitality shown by Tom Tina. Great place to have an overnight stay if doing the Two Moors Way. Arrived wet and cold and really cared for by Tom Tina. The bedrooms were clean, fresh, spacious. Had one double room and one twin room. Both were considered excellent. Food was superb, with a very varied and exciting menu. Very highly recommended.
