Crab Shell - South Hams

My recent lunch in Dartmouth, enjoyed in the car during a frustrating traffic jam on the way back to Birmingham, was the consistently delicious crab sandwich from The Crab Shell.

The last Dartmouth lunch, taken in the car in awful traffic on the way back to Birmingham was the always excellent crab sandwich from the Crab Shell.

Chanced upon this little shop with very friendly staff on a recent day out in Dartmouth. I had a pack of utterly delicious crab sandwiches and my husband had ham, rocket and mustard mayo which he said were delicious too. Thanks, we'll be back the...next time we are in Dartmouth x

Yes, a bit pricey, but, hey this is Dartmouth and tgere’s Been a pandemic. The ladies there were working their socks off very cheerfully and the sandwiches coukdnot habe been freasher. The crab were tasty and plump a little seasoning would have...not gone amiss, but, there again not to everyone’s taste , but,the West Country ham were lovely. No skimping on fillings ! Good quality whole meal bread too !

Wanted to try a fresh crab sandwich and found this place with good reviews online. Turned up to find it takeaway only, no option for white bread or any baguette and each! No imagination just a lump of crab meat stuck between two bits...of granary, no sauce no salad no seasoning! Would not return.
