I went there for lunch with my parents on a Wednesday, which happened to have a special offer for a main course and dessert. I can't recall the exact price, but it came out to be £60 for the four of us, even though we didn't order any alcoholic drinks. The meal was delicious and homemade, with the lamb and onions being particularly noteworthy. The staff were friendly, and there was a lively atmosphere with the regular customers. I only wish I lived closer to this place.
This restaurant is a great value for the money. The staff is friendly, the menu is varied, and the portion sizes are generous. They also offer disabled parking right outside.
I stumbled upon this hidden gem by chance and was pleasantly surprised. It's a traditional British pub with high quality food, all for under £9! The dishes are freshly cooked and not greasy at all. We stopped in for a couple of pints, enjoyed the Salcombe Gold, and watched a football match on TV with the friendly locals. After a few drinks, we ended up sleeping in our motorhome in the opposite car park - a fantastic experience! I believe it's a family-run pub as everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive. A credit to the English pub trade, definitely worth a visit. Paul Mo, Essex.
