We had a fantastic turkey roast, delightful dessert, and delicious drinks. I am confident we will be returning in the future.
The food at this restaurant was delicious and made in-house. The young man who served us was very friendly and eager to help. We reserved a table in advance because the restaurant was very busy, which is always a good sign of a great place to eat.
We were delayed in traffic, but the chef graciously waited for us even though it was closing time. The entire staff, including the chef, warmly welcomed us and prepared a delicious meal for us. The vegetarian moussaka was outstanding and the roast lamb was cooked to perfection. The dessert selection was varied and the portions were generous. The service was impeccable and we felt truly pampered. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
Cafe close to my home which we usually just drive past as seems a bit charmless… however decided to try it out for a breakfast. Most dry and terrible cooked breakfast I’ve ever had. Also very overpriced for what you get. Was literally just egg, sausage, bacon and toast. You have to pay extra for any beans, tomatoes or mushroom etc which would make it less dry, I would’ve expected at least beans or tomatoes as these usually come with a breakfast. The place lacked character/friendliness and staff seemed lacklustre Overall not a great experience and would not return despite the convenient location
A planned picnic on Dartmoor had to be abandoned due to pouring rain. We decided to move on to The Dartmoor Diner following a friends recommendation. The car park was full and as we had not booked we enquired as to the possibility of lunch. Our luck was in there was a table for four left. The waitress who showed us in could not have been more helpful. My wife was in an electric chair and this lady moved furniture. around to make sure we were seated comfortably. She was brilliant. As for the food it matched the service. No fine dining here but honest to goodness Devon food cooked in true Dartmoor style. Honest portions of local produce looking good and tasting even better. Highlights of the lunch were roast turkey with all the trimmings and liver and bacon and onions. Brilliant! Well done Dartmoor Diner in every respect. We shall return making sure we book next time.
