Dairy Queen - South Haven

This Dairy Queen has a charming old-school vibe, featuring a walk-up window and plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The customer service is excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly. As someone from the city, I was thrilled to discover this Dairy Queen nearby. The restaurant was spotless inside and out, and it seemed the parking lot had just been repainted, which added to its inviting curb appeal. When I visited, it was nearly empty, allowing for a quick visit, but I can easily see it becoming quite busy on hot summer days with tourists seeking a cool spot and a bite to eat. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to use my Dairy Queen app to scan for rewards during my visit, but I suspect they'll have that option soon. The walk-up window at the entrance enhances the location's nostalgic charm, something we don't often see in newer Dairy Queen restaurants. While I didn't try the food, I imagine it adheres to the standard offerings found at other Dairy Queens, as the menu is fairly basic.

I really enjoy the quick service, the great ice, and the stunning view of the beautiful Michigan sunset. It's my new favorite way to spend summer!

The restaurant is now under new management, and the service has definitely improved. I always appreciate the nostalgic atmosphere, and I highly recommend the banana split—it’s a must-try!

Many great menu items. Good for cheap and fast bite in downtown South Haven. Interior and exterior seats. Oitdoor seating are located on the second floor, so it has a beautiful view. For milk free dessert (even if it is milk queen) you can get a ****. Fast food options like Burger, Hotdog, Fries available.
