I’m not a huge breakfast person but my family likes it so we went here one morning. Its your standard breakfast food. Nothing special or particularly yummy however the service was ABSOLUTELY Amazing! Our waitress was so nice and accommodating to some food allergies. Never once seemed annoyed or frustrated. She made our whole meal great. The location in South Jordan seems to have pretty great employees!
See I’m on slow journey to discover the best French Toast. I’ve only been a couple places so far, but can tell the competition is going to be tough. So far this is how I see it for the best French Toast: 1. Belgian Waffle and Omelet Inn 2. Village Inn 3. IHOP Taylor was our server and on point. Shout out to Taylor. The establishment was nice and neat. Also not to busy on a Friday morning. Coffee was decent and that’s another I’m on the search for. One thing at a time though.
The chicken fried steak is essentially a large, frozen, deep-fried chicken nugget that screams genetically modified. While it looks like food on the outside, the inside is more reminiscent of a messy blend you’d want to avoid (see pictures). The hash browns are crispy and golden on the outside, but beneath that layer, you’ll find tasteless, mushy potato shreds. The pancakes, while fluffy and adequate, are nothing remarkable, but they’re also not bad. The eggs lack flavor and could really use a sprinkle of Old Bay to enhance them. The service is great, but unfortunately, they can’t improve the recipes. The cake is overly sweet and a bit dense inside, although the crust is quite good—tasty and visually appealing. The coffee is hot and plentiful, but not particularly enjoyable. If you’re just looking for a place to fill up and relax, this could work for you, but for those seeking quality dining, you might want to keep searching.
It's a cozy village eatery, so you have a good idea of what to expect when you visit. My kids were really craving breakfast for dinner, and that's exactly what we got. I felt for the staff, though—they were clearly short-handed and worked very hard to keep everyone satisfied. Given the circumstances, they did a commendable job with the service. The food itself wasn't remarkable, but there was nothing wrong with it, and my kids cleared their plates, which speaks volumes!
