Lake Tahoe Pizza Company

We were surprised by how much we enjoyed this vegan pizza. We did add olive oil to ours bc we've found it helps the Diaya cheese melt. We also added garlic however we didn't taste it so I think it got left off. They didn't have herbs or oregano so we stopped at Grass Roots Natural Foods a couple minutes before and got oregano from their bulk herbs and spices for $0.20. We were just visiting the area so we were really happy we could buy the amount we needed for the pizza. 22.90 Vegan California Cuisine: We were surprised by the quality. The crust was nice and flaky and there were a lot of fresh veggies. We would have preferred an herb mix on the pizza and/or the crust for more flavor but it was really good. It was also a pretty affordable option for two people to share. We would return.

Was surprised to discover a while back that this place offers vegan cheese. I think it is Daiya brand, so not exactly gourmet, but the quality of the crust, sauce and toppings more than makes up for that small short-coming. The staff is also very personable and accommodating. Well worth a visit if you're in the mood for pizza. Updated from previous review on 2019-07-09

I wish I could have rated with 5 stars! My husband and I ate here during our trip to Lake Tahoe. When the server, Melanie, took our order she was friendly and patient with my questions about Vegan options. At most other restaurants I get a sideways glance from the servers who have no clue what I'm talking about and treat me like I'm a weirdo. I digress. Melanie was super nice and told me that all their crusts are vegan and any pizza can be substituted with Vegan cheese. My pizza was delicious!!! My non- veg husband loved his pizza as well! Make sure you eat here when in Tahoe!

Love this place. Found it through Happy Cow and was not disappointed. I love the fact that all the crusts are vegan. I let our server know up front that we are vegan and she was so helpful with telling us our options. You can substitute anything for vegan options.

They had numerous vegan options that was great. the cheese they use is daiya, which I am personally not a fan of having to start the pizza chips, which was as a vegan starter and very dry. the pizza was good and good, but needed more season.
