While we enjoy cooking over the campfire, it was a nice break for us parents. Our children, aged 13 and 10, were thrilled to have pizza, their favorite meal. We tried the Hawaiian, Margherita, and Pepperoni pizzas, all of which were delicious. Unfortunately, this is Al Fresco's last season at the campsite, as the National Trust has cancelled their contract. We plan to write a complaint to the National Trust, as a charity that claims to support local suppliers and producers, this decision is clearly not in line with their values.
This restaurant offers made-to-order pizzas with fresh ingredients, perfect for a quick meal if you don't feel like cooking. The prices are reasonable and it tends to get busy, so make sure to book your pizza in advance. Reservations are accepted after 3:00 pm; inquire at the reception when making a booking.
We had an amazing pizza at Low Wray campsite! It was a wonderful change from the usual campfire sausages. The kids absolutely loved it and there wasn't a single crumb left.
The service and fresh homemade pizzas are amazing. perfect place to sit and relax with a glass of wine.
Few things can be better than a freshly made pizza, made to order. Add in a great outdoor location with great weather and this was the best pizza ever. Really worth a visit.
