Really poor fish and chips. The fish is pollock, not cod or haddock. The chips tasted like yesterday’s ones. The mushy peas were chalky. For £12.30 I’d expect better. The view was the only winner
Been waiting 40 minutes since ordering and still waiting, thinks there's still 2 in front. Wouldn't mind if they tell you there's a wait, but this is ridiculous!
On a day out on Windemere, this was a pleasant find. No where on the outside of the establishment does it say that they serve gluten free. On asking inside, I was told, everything was gluten free, including vinegar. You can bet I settled for the fish, chips and mushy peas. And what delight it was. The batter was crispy, the chips tasty and the mushy peas were, well, mushy! If you are coeliac check them out. If I'm ever nearby again. I will be calling in again. The only real downside was because of some of the outside seating. Some benches were very low and uncomfortable to sit at.
Decent fish and chips bit expensive overall but not too bad if your passing by
