We tried the egg mayo sandwich (served with delicious chips), strawberry tart, and carrot cake, which was so delicious that I couldn't resist asking for two more slices to take home. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Their house blend tea was exceptional. My husband loved the local beer (Last Wolf) as well.
On May 7, 2024, I ordered a ham sandwich on granary bread with chips and what was supposed to be piccalilli at a restaurant. The sandwich was cut into four pieces, with one piece having a very small amount of ham and the others not having much either. I mentioned this to the waitress, who said she would inform the chef, but I never heard anything further about it. For some reason, she offered me a cake instead of addressing the issue with the sandwich. I should have insisted on more ham. Overall, the restaurant did not live up to the expectations I had been given.
I drove over an hour to visit this hidden gem and it was definitely worth it! The staff was very friendly. I called a day in advance to inform them of my allergies, which they took into consideration when I arrived. Despite being very busy, I was pleased to see that they took my allergies seriously. The food was delicious - fresh and tasty. The bakery next door was also fantastic. The prices were very competitive. I would give them a perfect 10/10 rating. Keep up the great work, guys!
There are various breakfast options available on the menu, such as vegan pancakes, avocado toast, and freshly made cakes. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.
