Hipping Hall - South Lakeland

Amazing food, amazing staff, beautiful restaurant and fabulous location. Will definitely be back and will certainly recommend it.

We were a party of 10 for a 7 course Taster menu. The venue is stunning and the restaurant is a lovely size so still feels cosy. The food is out of this world from.presentation to taste sensation. The staff are friendly and welcoming and highly professional. We will be back in a heartbeat as this venue is outstanding.

The meal was very good and we were impressed with the fine dining experience. The extra snacks were a nice touch and well explained. However, we found that the quality of the explanations varied depending on who served us—some staff members were more enthusiastic than others. This consistency in service was lacking for me, as it is essential for excellence. We particularly enjoyed our interaction with Robert, the sommelier, who expertly paired our wines and shared his knowledge and stories. Most of the dishes were cooked very well, with the venison being perfectly pink. Breakfast was also very good, though somewhat limited. Unfortunately, the restaurant did not seem to accommodate for vegans, and my girlfriend has an egg allergy, which made it a bit problematic.

First time back since the change of chef. Went for 4 course lunch. Very nice, some wonderful flavours combined, I enjoyed more than my partner. Definitely worth going, beautiful old hall, good staff. Great!

We went to Hipping Hall for our wedding anniversary and could not have been more impressed with the food. Everything was a delight from the first bite to the last. However, the highlight of our evening were the fantastic waiting staff and in particular the Sommelier Robert Platt. Robert was hugely knowledgeable and gave fantastic suggestions for wine, take his advice! We had a wonderful meal.
