Despite initial concerns about the food, the delicious food and the barman's enthusiastic and natural welcoming attitude made for a fantastic experience. The pub filled up with happy customers and the reviewer made some new friends during their visit. The cask ales were also mentioned to be lovely and well-maintained. Overall, the reviewer had a thoroughly enjoyable and inexpensive experience, and would definitely return when back in Windermere. The barmaid who filled in later maintained the same level of enthusiasm, making for a great atmosphere. Comparing it to a more expensive experience the day before, the reviewer felt they had a much better time at this pub.
We stopped by for some drinks on a Saturday evening before heading to a nearby Indian restaurant. The bar wasn't crowded and they had Sky Sports playing football. The bartender was friendly and they had a selection of local draft beers. There was plenty of seating available. We would consider going back, but probably wouldn't make a special trip to do so.
We stopped by this restaurant for a drink while staying in Windermere. We were greeted warmly and loved sitting in the charming beer garden at the back. It was so relaxing and peaceful to enjoy a few drinks in the sun.
The place was very shabby and smelly didnt stay long couldnt wait to get out staff were not very helpful had a couldnt care less attitude wouldnt go there again
We ate here and the food was delicious. The bar staff barman) especially was so friendly that his service alone would make us revisit. Would highly recommend for food.
