The Pig and Whistle - South Lakeland

That was our first time eating at the pig and whistle that enjoyed a few times a drink there. we were made welcome and shown on our table. the main thing quickly followed the previous ones, we should have called for a gap between the cursors. the weeping was pleasant and we made us feel pleasantly full.

The Pig and Whistle provides excellent food and friendly, efficient service. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere that I would highly recommend for an evening out or a casual meal. Despite our online booking not being processed, the staff managed to find us a table and made us feel very welcome, even during a busy night.

We made a reservation on July 29th for a meal, but the dining experience was very disappointing. Both my friend and I chose from the special board. I ordered the goat dish and she chose the duck. The goat was very tough, with lots of gristle, although the flavor was decent. My friend's duck was also very chewy and difficult to cut. We may return to Carmel, but only for drinks at the Pig and Whistle. I will say that the service was good and the staff were friendly, so no complaints there.

This pub is a welcoming and friendly spot with a menu that may be brief, but offers a nice variety of choices at a reasonable price.

Excellent meals on both nights, very pleasant staff and never felt rushed
