The room we were sat in was cold, there was a fire but we couldn't feel the heat from it. Four of us ordered Steak, 3 were Well Done and all of them were more like Medium, I sent mine back and it came back and was still Medium, looked like all they had done was sear the ends!! We went for a meal as was staying nearby and was dog friendly. Not sure if I would go back again?
Food was amazing, Came for the Pie n Pint night and wasn’t disappointed. Food was amazing, service was so quick and such a fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely be back and will be recommending to all my friends. Thanks The White Hart.. xx
Would like to thank Jess and John for there warm welcome. We stayed at the Inn for two nights. The food was excellent and the breakfast was great, with my favourite eggs benedict, cooked to perfection. The Inn was located outside the main tourist areas which made it a lovely and relaxing place to come back from after a day out. The room was comfortable and clean, I would certainly recommend the Inn to stay. Thanks again.
Worst customer service ever experienced. Like many other reviews there is a strangely aggressive grey haired man who is the manager here. Me and my friends arrived after a long journey, and wanted a glass of wine. We are all 23/24 for reference with one of us not having ID on us. The woman behind the counter immediately had an attitude and felt offended we’d even asked for a drink. She rudely said she she sees “the one without ID” drinking then we’re out. Picture of an idea was offered but also rudely shut down. We complied and sat down, then (strangely aggressive) man comes running out explaining he’s watching us on CCTV, it’s “his pub” and “he doesn’t care”. Frankly the whole experience was really weird and laughable. We explained to him we understood the think 25 rule but to make a huge scene in the pub when we were polite and minding our business just felt so over the top. Honestly don’t bother coming here, turns out he’s getting a bit of a reputation in the local village for this. Good luck white hart inn!
We popped in for a drink with our dogs and very polite and friendly, the couple who run the pub were very sociable and my wife and I were soon chatting about each others dogs. Will definitely be returning good selection of ales/lager
