My wife and I went for lunch and, after being seated promptly, we waited about ten minutes to place our order. The soup and sandwich were ready, but the toastie and chips were still being cooked. After 10 more minutes of waiting, the chips were finally placed beside the soup and sandwich. The food was eventually brought to our table, but the soup was so thick it resembled cold porridge, the sandwich was curling at the edges from the kitchen heat, and the chips were just warm. The toastie was decent, but it was served without any sides like salad. Despite being regular customers, we will not be returning as the quality of the food has declined since a branch opened in Lanark.
I came across this cafe while strolling along the main street in Biggar, and it was easy to locate. I tried their soup, dessert, coffee, and cake, and all of them were delicious and reasonably priced. The cafe was spacious and the staff was friendly, which was an added bonus.
Very welcoming cafe, excellent prompt service and great food , a extensive menu with reasonable price, the baking is all homemade and food cooked fresh to order , would highly recommend a visit
What a great find on our journey for a bite to eat and drink. The breakfast was superb and all food is cooked to order and a reasonable price. The two ladies were extremely friendly which put a smile on our faces as weather wasn’t the best. Definitely worth the stop and easy parking right outside.
During a stroll in the area, my son and I decided to stop for lunch and were pleasantly surprised to discover this cafe. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be returning in the future.
