We came quite late at 2:20 a.m. on a Sunday, but most when their Yam Cha courts are already unavailable. I was also looking forward to my huh! then they have made our order wrong and have not delivered one of the courts.
I used to love this restaurant, but I think they changed management less than a year ago. The quality of the food is not as good as it used to be. In addition, I believe the prices have increased too much, which has led to a decrease in sales compared to other restaurants on the same street. I suggest that the new owners keep the prices competitive with their rivals while still maintaining the same high quality of food. Otherwise, they risk losing customers to neighboring restaurants like the Southern Melbourne Dim Sum, which offers better value for money.
I highly recommend this restaurant! It is located next to the famous dim sims at South Melbourne Market. We tried a variety of dim sum dishes (BBQ pork, pumpkin dumplings, scallop dumplings) and a plate of noodle stir fry - all delicious and affordable! You can also take their dim sum home by choosing from their frozen selection in the freezer. The restaurant offers a beautiful indoor dining area as well as outdoor tables for people-watching. The service is friendly and quick.
This Yum Cha restaurant is located on the outskirts of the South Melbourne Market complex, so it may not be considered upscale. However, the food is made fresh on the premises and is exceptionally delicious. The sui mai, bean curd wraps, chicken feet, and glutinous rice are all top-notch, made with quality ingredients and flavorful sauces. This place is as good as it gets and definitely worth a visit for a satisfying lunch. You won't be disappointed - it's absolutely delicious!
