Nothing Extraordinary We had some craving for Indian food. Instead of going to Coconut Grove to our great Indian restaurant, we elected to try Taste Buds of India since it is much closer to our home. We made a reservation through Open Table. Upon our arrival, our Indian Host, who barely spoke English, did not understand what I meant when I told him to confirm my reservation with Open Table to get my points. It was fairly quiet for a Friday evening while other restaurants in the neighborhood such as Old Lisbon, were packed. While dining, we didn’t see too many Indians in the dining room. As for the food, it was very average. It took forever to get my Tandoori whole fish. The waiter could have alerted me about the time it was going to take but he didn’t. Furthermore, we were disappointed to find many fish scales on our Tandoori fish which is a big turn off. The ambience, food, staff overall could have been better.
Food was delicious, menu is extensive and varied. Service a little slow, but staff is friendly.
The place is closed. If they moved to a different location then the Open Table system should be updated accordingly. I drove across town and wasted my time and gas.
Great atmosphere, great food and outstanding service.
