Cherry Tree Inn - South Oxfordshire

This is a lovely, family-run pub with a terrific breakfast. We stayed in Cherry which was very comfy with separate access from the pub, tea-making things, piping hot water. We had a very nice chat with Dan over the Full English and smoked salmon with scrambled egg. Ditto with a one of couple of non-residents who came in for breakfast too. Stoke Row has a fascinating history with its ornate well and cherry orchard given by an Indian maharaja and the surrounding beech woods are fabulous, specially at this time of year. We stayed last week in the Cherry Room, the room was very comfortable with lots of natural light. The mattress was perfect, gave us a really good couple nights sleep. It's not inside the pub so very quiet and detached from the main property. Finally the breakfast was outstanding adding lots of value to the stay, choose the full english! This is a review for the pub and restaurant as we didn't stay the night. Great country pub for a family Sunday lunch. Epic and tasty roasts with all the trimmings.
