I ordered the cod and chips, but when I got home, I found that the fish was cold, not even warm, and the chips were not fresh. It was too much of a hassle to return them, so I ended up losing £11.50 and had to cook my own meal. I have been a loyal customer for years, but I will not be returning after this experience.
Possibly the worst fish and chips I've had for a long time, the chips were undercooked/hard, and the fish was overcooked, with soggy batter, £13.50 and it all went in the dogs! We used to buy from there with the previous owners, it was lovely then, but we won't be going there again.
Was loving it till i found a hair in the fish then when i told them about it not being rude or anything before i finished the sentance the woman quickly said my hairs blonde... infact it wasnt it was mixed but £14.70 n they didnt even offer my money back. absolute disgusting behaviour i hope you shut down.
This is the only fish and chip shop we'll go to in Didcot. We've never had a bad experience here. They always give generous portions, the cod is delicious, and it's never too greasy.
I paid £6.80 for pie, chips, and gravy and it was absolutely terrible. The chips were hard and the pie was empty and tasted stale, like it had been sitting there for weeks. I normally pay £3.70 for the same meal at my usual chippy back home and it tastes amazing. This was the worst chippy experience I've ever had, I feel like I was ripped off.
