Ihop - South Portland

Chris who has been working here for 17 years was AMAZING. First off, he got our order down so fast without even writing it down. The food came out quick. Being from NYC you are used to fast and efficient service, and I was not disappointed. He even told us places to visit in Maine. He was super friendly and you could tell he loves what he does. 10/10 for this location, def give it a try and ask for Chris!

In today's world, it can be difficult to find great service from restaurant staff. However, my family had a wonderful experience with our waitress during our visit. I regret not remembering her name as I write this review a week later, but she went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Not only was she incredibly helpful, but she also kept our children entertained throughout the meal.

I haven't been in years but the kids got to choose the restaurant so we went here. I was pleasantly surprised for a chain restaurant. The food was good, the prices were very reasonable, and the waitstaff was sweet as pie. And the place was super clean.

The food was delicious and satisfying! Although they were a bit understaffed, the server was friendly and even offered to pack our last cold brew coffee to go without us having to ask. We will definitely be returning soon!

The food and service were both good. The restaurant appears to be short-staffed, but they acknowledge it and inform customers, which I found to be considerate. The interior was a bit dirty, but it's nothing out of the ordinary for a typical diner.
