The Hospital Inn near Preston met all my criteria for a good meal on this trip. Conveniently located, this lovely countryside pub was bustling with customers even on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered their tower burger and it was made fresh and served quickly, and was incredibly filling. The food at other tables also looked enticing, making this a place worth remembering for future trips. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.
I was looking for a place to have lunch before heading to Team Sport karting. There were many options to choose from, but I didn't want fast food. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The service was quick and friendly, with some pleasant conversation from Pam. There were 8 of us, including 4 kids, and we all ordered different dishes. Everything we received was excellent - the chips, Chicken Wings, Scampi, Chicken Stroganoff, and a huge BBQ chicken sizzling plate. While eating out has become more expensive, the quality of the food at this restaurant made it worth it. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to others. Keep up the good work, you deserve all the credit.
Excellent friendly service from Pam. Lovely food from the lunchtime £10 club menu, also enjoyed coffee and cake . We will be back !
Visited on a Sunday tea time for family birthday meal, ordered roast dinners to be told that because they had a few large tables in who had pre-ordered food, they had run out of roast turkey and roast beef Sunday dinners at 5.30pm! Had to re-order and then food took 45 minutes to eventually appear. Food was average, service non-existent/below-par. When we asked if they could provide a reasonable gesture, of perhaps refunding a round of drinks off the bill to compensate for the long wait time/lack of service, we were met with being told we should have expected a long wait, as it was Sunday and it was busy! Avoid.
Would have got a 5 if the staff member had been interested in actually serving we were the only diners yet she had to be prompted by the manager to take our order we heard the bell from the kitchen indicating the meal was ready but she was too busy in conversation on the bar before realising it was ready . Food was delicious absolutely first class shame we weren’t asked if we enjoyed it or if we wanted dessert lost selling opportunity).
