We used to go here all the time, then we moved away. Tried to find a similar decent Thai place in our new city, with no luck. Finally moved back to Utah and we are here anytime we are in SLC. My Thai is the best Thai restaurant we have eaten at in America. Definitely comparable to any restaurant in Thailand. Dee and her daughter are amazing.
The people we friendly, personable, and kind here. Love that it's a small family working together. Seemed to know everyone's name and genuinely care. The food didn't have as much flavor (especially the noodles) as I was hoping. Left some to be desired. The ambiance felt like half soup kitchen/cafeteria and half restaurant. Just different.Overall it was friendly, food was just decent, portions were plenty, and if I was in the area I try something different. But it left a lot to be desired.
This place is a hidden gem run by a sweet old lady and her family. The interior might look a bit sparse, but the food is wholesome and high quality for an excellent price. We started our order with Thai milk tea, and honestly, it was probably the best Thai milk tea I've ever had, even trumping other boba tea shops that just specialize in milk tea. The milk tea was sooo creamy and indulgent I think they used real coconut milk to make it instead of the low quality non dairy creamers that other shops often use. It was a little too sweet for me, but I just diluted it with some water to strike the perfect balance of sweetness.Besides the tea, we also ordered the Pineapple Curry, Green Curry, and Vegetable Delight. The portion sizes were huge each dish probably had enough food for at least 2 meals and everything tasted deliciously authentic. For the amount of food you get, the price was super cheap. The owner also came out to personally serve us our food, and she was so motherly and nice. It was a joy to talk with her!If I ever visit Salt Lake City again, I will definitely try to come back to this place!
Loved their drunken noodles and avocado chicken curry. I was surprised the avocado curry was good (my boyfriend got it). It was extra creamy and we loved it!
