It's perfect for anyone who works or studies and is looking for a spot to enjoy a treat while getting some focused work done. Personally, I love indulging in a chocolate croissant alongside a cup of coffee.
This is arguably the best spot in South San Francisco for pastries! I've visited about a dozen times, and the atmosphere is perfect for anything from studying to a coffee date. There's plenty of seating, but it tends to fill up quickly on weekends! The pastries and sandwiches are outstanding. I highly recommend stopping by whenever you can!
First time here and we were surprised! Had a couple of pastries, coffee, and took a slice of cake home for later. The coffee is ok, the pastries are delicious! We will definitely come back to try the sandwiches and more.
Variety selections of bread and deserts. They warm up your bread for you to eat at the Cafe.
The prices for their pastries range from $3 to $6 each, which is higher than most Asian bakeries like Fancy, 85°, and Sheng Kee, but more affordable than upscale places like Tartine. Their cakes look dreamy, but they are mostly chiffon cream, priced at $5 to $7 per slice or $35 to $40 for a whole cake. The macarons are tasty but pricey; they are about $2.50 each for the small ones and $3.50 for the larger ones. My kids prefer to buy a pack of 12 macarons from Trader Joe's for only $4 or $5, and those taste just as good at a better price. I usually skip their drinks, whether coffee or tea, because they tend to be bland and watered down. Instead, I prefer the offerings from Starbucks, Peet's, or Philz.
