My family and I have been ordering from this restaurant for the past 11 years and it has always been so good in the past, the last few times the food wasn’t up to their normal standards but we just continued ordering, hoping it would be better. The food is usually good hot, they’re always super quick, the customer service has also always been beyond amazing. This trip will likely be our last due to the manager. We ordered our food as normal, went to pick it up, and drove home. Everything appeared to be in the bag and we had never had any issues before. We received a call from an employee (keep this in mind, THEY called US to begin with) letting us know that they forgot to put our crab rangoons in the bag were very sorry. We told them we were already across town and couldn’t come back but it was no problem asked if they could just refund them. Another employee got on the phone and told us that they couldn’t refund us (probably because they use a 3rd party for their online orders and it would be too difficult to do but they could write down a note to give us a credit on our next order. We were fine with this as we do not order from any other chinese places besides this one. She took down my name and said we were all good. 20 minutes later I receive a call from the manager telling me that they didn’t forget our crab rangoon, and accusing us, saying that WE left it at the restaurant (we ordered and picked it up after they were the ones to bag it? we didn’t bag our own food) and that they couldn’t refund us or give us a credit as it was our fault, not theirs. I reminded her that THEY called US to begin with to let us know THEY made a mistake and my husband did not go behind the counter and bag our food himself. She doubled down and said it was our fault and we could drive back across town but they could not give any refund or credit as it was us that left them at the restaurant. We weren’t even the slightest bit mad or upset about this situation until the manager called back accusing us with a nasty attitude and to argue over $4.25 crab rangoons is crazy behavior from a customer service standpoint. So sad to remove this place from our list of regular restaurants but management should probably be changed unless they want to have more issues.
I ordered the House Lo mein , and for the first time in 17 years, I can say the food was better than I expected. china Kitchen will now be, the only place I will refer as well as order from exclusively. Parking: Easy to get to and no problems finding a spot.
Used to love getting food there for over 10 years. Over the last few years the ways to order for delivery have changed and have really made a negative impact. Waited over and hour and a half today to be told that my order wasn't being picked up by uber eats who are contracted through E-menu ordering system they use. the driver kept texting me that he didnt know where to pick up the food all in Spanish and i dont speak Spanish at all and had to use translate.. I contracted the restaurant 3 times in the hour and a half and no resolution was made except to cancel the order after I waited 90 minutes. Let's see how fast I get my money back.
Fast, friendly, delicious food. Abundant, the best chicken wings, and the fries. I highly recommend the fried rice. My husband is a lover of Asian food and according to him the best fried rice in Sarasota.
I have been a loyal customer over 20 years and use BeyondMenu on occasion to place my orders. Forty-five minutes after placing my order China Kitchen called to see if I received my order and said they would contact Beyond. My delivery was being made thru Doordash. Twenty minutes later I called the Doordash driver and he could barely understand English and then couldn't find my address. When I finally got my food twenty minutes later I called CK to tell them I received my order. The gentleman was very rude yelling at me that he cooked my meal three times and didn't know what happened, then told me to order elsewhere in the future and hung up on me. Is this how you treat a loyal customer? I tried calling back and they wouldn't answer my call. Do yourself a favor and order elsewhere! If I could rate less than one star, I would.
