The owner, or whoever was in charge, seemed moody and unwelcoming, with no personality or smile. I wish we had gone to the old chapel across the road, where there is a better quality coffee shop.
I missed the bus and was feeling fed up on a rainy day in Bruton. I needed somewhere to get a coffee, and luckily stumbled upon Cats Cafe located at the back of the general store. It's a hidden gem with clean, friendly atmosphere and simple, well-cooked food. I originally stopped in for a coffee, but ended up staying for a delicious cheese and ham panini. While there may be other more expensive options in the area, make sure to add this cafe to your bucket list!
This charming little cafe was almost hidden, but I'm glad I found it thanks to a previous review. The prices were affordable, the atmosphere was cozy, and the food was delicious.
Seemed popular with locals though could be missed by visitors as the frontage doesn't mention a cafe and looks just like a local grocers. Impressed by the small quiche and small chips which was plenty, full of cheese and bacon and came with half a plate of crisp, fresh salad for good measure (all for £5.50 I think). Cheeseburger and chips was good value too and the cooked breakfast was great wicked fried bread! Hard working lady running it did so well to juggle everything and we only had a short wait.
Stunning value, exceptional quality, economical and value for money. Would always recommend this cafe for a great meal cooked on the spot, fresh and lovely.
