As myself and my Hubbie walked into the pub we were greeted by the lovely owner Maddie who showed us to the Den which was a beautiful space and i understand this is a former stables. The space was warm and cosy and full style and quirky original features. Two lovely warm brownies were also sitting on the window sill with water and juice. The room had everything we needed. We also spent time in the pub part of Cotley Inn and spent so much time chatting away with the local patrons that we nearly missed our restaurant booking elsewhere. Watching the lovely food being served at the Cotley Inn i almost did not want to leave. We had such an enjoyable break that we will be rebooking later on in the spring. Never been so grateful for a cancelation. Thank you so much Maddie and your fantastic team for making our weekend stay so enjoyable.
What a great find off the beaten track! Held a family 90th Birthday celebration here, where members met up from far and wide and what a great choice. Lovely staff who were very accommodating, quintessential English pub venue and what fantastic food, well worthy of competing with up market restaurants (read the menu and you will taste the menu) . Many thanks to all the team
We stayed here overnight and had dinner in the pub. The food was fantastic and the room was lovely, comfortable and quiet. The pub has a great atmosphere and is in a very picturesque location perfect for walks or just admiring the view.
First visit today and was very impressed. Simple menu but every dish a winner. Welcoming staff, warm interior with log fire and casual atmosphere. Worth finding as off the beaten track.
From the moment you enter the bar entrance, Maddie is there to greet you and welcome you in. We were there for our anniversary and enjoyed a delicious dinner, served in the most friendly yet professional manner. Food is locally sourced and imaginatively cooked by Ben. We then stayed in The Nest- a converted stable bedroom which was cosy, comfortable and with loads of luxury extras. Nespresso machine, bath robes, fluffy towels, gorgeous bed, and a pantry of extras provided on the house. Breakfast was a varied buffet of mueslis, seeds, homemade preserves and jams, fruits, cold meats, cheese, fruit juice , and toasts. No full english but you can boil an egg or have plenty of anything there. And of course teas and coffees cheerily served by Maddie. She and her team are fantastic and what makes this place tick. The Cotley Inn is a real treasure and deserves every success.
