Unfortunately due to lack of correspondence from various social media accounts that we cannot close we are still battling the old accounts. We've taken over for over 12 months now had a full refurb. We will also be selling coffee from Monday as well and our varied lines of lagers real ales! Weekends we have live music on Fridays- Disco Saturday FREE jukebox on Sundays!

Had a great meal here for a friends birthday, the service was good and the three courses were divine and it very good value for money.

I don't normally review or score for what I think is excellent . But the steaks are to good not too. I have travelled the world

We ate here on both of our evenings in Penkridge. There was a choice of two menus, one for the restaurant and one for the bar. Meals were reasonably priced, cheap even, and we weren't disappointed on either night with the main courses. We both had the curry, nice and spicy and not too hot. On the first night I had cottage pie, which again was very tasty, served with freshly cooked chips and peas. My wife, usually one to complain- don't worry she doesn't read my reviews- had the Hunter's chicken and enjoyed it. Didn't complain at all- amazing! Deserts were a little too creamy for our tastes but I'm sure if we had asked for a little less cream it wouldn't have been a problem. Staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. Thank you

Warm and friendly with lovely big log fire. We were, however, disappointed in the cask ale we tried. Did not quite hit the mark.
