Michel's Restaurant - SOUTH TOWNSVILLE

Excellent restaurant. I can't believe we haven't noticed it before. Sure it is expensive but what you would expect for that kind if dining. The bouillabaisse is great even if it is a bit messy. And the bombe Alaska is certainly not something you see on menues all that often. It's fancy but quite frankly, the chocolate crêpe cake was even better.

We attended between concerts at the AFCM. This is one of the most formal restaurants I've found here in Townsville. We had a lovely meal and the staff were pleasant (to us). Service was prompt and the setting was nice. Each course was beautiful and tasty. Thoroughly recommended.

Up from Melbourne for the week and we were recommended Michels for dinner. We were not disappointed. Fantastic food and great wine pairing suggestion from the waitstaff. Great food and service, couldn't fault. Really pleased and would visit again for sure!

This restaurant wasn't my first choice in Palmer Street, but the restaurant I wanted to try was full. Well I'm glad it was full! Michels was terrific! We were seated straight away & our waiter was informative about the menu and thoughtful in regards to special needs. Our food was well presented and all very tasty! I definitely be going back and it'll be my first choice in Palmer Street!

Spur of the moment decision to try Michel's. It is great! The food was beautiful and the atmosphere was lovely. Staff were good. Didn't enjoy the chunks of duck skin in the pasta, or the drunk man at the table beside us having a heated (loud) discussion with his "friend". Would love to try again without the noise!
