Toby Inn Gateshead - South Tyneside

My boyfriend and I came to the restaurant on Wednesday night. It was a relief to see that the new restrictions had been eased. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they took the time to explain the new safety protocols to us. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were great. We will definitely be returning and recommending this place to our friends. Matthew, Kyran, and Claire were fantastic.

The food at this restaurant is stunning, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I especially enjoyed the festive menu, particularly the ginger sponge and Christmas pudding.

The meal was fantastic and the atmosphere was peaceful. The food was delicious and our server was very attentive. We tried to use our Defence Discount card for veterans but unfortunately, they did not accept it.

There is not much to say about this Toby it is the standard Toby you go to anywhere in the country if you want your mid week roast all the foods are just average and are cooked and served to chain standards, the staff however are very pleasant and seem to care about your visit. Not the best place to dine but certainly not the worst by any standards.

Dropped in for breakfast around 10am today and informed by staff on paying that it had ran out of bacon. (Really) No offer of a reduced cost
