I went for dinner with my wife, to celebrate our 6th anniversary. Firstly we were told about this place by a friend of ours, and she said it isn't a romantic place, its meant for partying. We thought we would go there anyways seeing as we like a littleparty. We got there at 9.00 pm and our friend was right, the DJ was playing loud music, the bar was full of attractive peopleharassing the two bar tenders for more drinks. Our booking was for 9.00 but, the table wasn't ready yet, manager Max sat us downat a bar table and offered us a glass of champagne to celebrate. (it was in their notes that it was our anniversary). Roughly 10minutes later we were told that the table is ready, Max came to get us and sat us at a beautifully decorated table with roses onit. The second we sat down, Max refilled our champagne glasses, these french know how to party. The menu is perfect size, notoverwhelming but enough to choose from. There is also a good balance of meat, fish and vegetarian options. My wife and I shared few starters (tuna cigars, hummus and crispy octopus), they are all delicious and I was impressed by the speed at which theycame out. As a main I had the salmon and it was good but nothing out of this world. For dessert they sent us a small cake toshare with a happy anniversary note written on it. Great Touch. After dinner we moved to the outdoor lounge and enjoyed the restof the evening with dancing and drinking. Would definitely recommend this place to people looking for a good crowd and party. Ihear they also do day parties by the pool, something to check out this summer.
My only advice regarding Oreya and Capri is to steer clear of these places. The customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a motel, and the treatment there falls far short of acceptable standards. Giving it even one star feels like an overstatement. When organizing an event like a pop-up for Nikki Beach, proper cancellation notice is essential. They initially offered free drinks and food but then abruptly closed the kitchen. I've never witnessed such a poorly managed event or venue before.
The restaurant's website is in need of an update. (6.8.18) Their stated hours are from 11 AM to 2 AM, but when I called earlier today, no one answered. I went in for an early dinner and found the place deserted, except for a group in the back—presumably on a break—but it still took a while for someone to acknowledge our presence, even though we were seen. When we asked if they were open, we received a curt response that they only open at 6 PM. I’m giving them a rating of 2 because our experience did not encourage us to wait or consider coming back. Furthermore, the incorrect information on their website was frustrating; it clearly claims they offer "All Day Cuisine," without any mention of a break between lunch and dinner. My friend had previously warned me not to go here because of past experiences, but I persuaded them to give it another try. Now, I see why.
Great atmosphere, but the service could be more attentive. The food is delicious!
