Costa Coffee - Southampton

After yesterday 's, Storm of the Century as the Times headline described it, today I have made it Airside. Another Cortado, this time with 'winter roast '. Not sure I could tell the difference, but tasty. Complimented by a surprisingly fresh Croissant. Good. Too crowded and like most coffee emporia, slow to clear the tables. Still helps to make Southampton my favourite airport. Just add Vienna as A destination, please. Hayling Seagoon

Served by possibly the grumpiest man ever, think his name was Elvio? Didn’t add cream to one of our drinks and had the most appalling customer service I’ve seen. With Costa being the only place to buy coffee really, it’s a shame that you can’t get any form of kindness.

A bit pricey but all airport concessions are. Good quality though. The coffee is excellent and my sandwich, tuna and mayo was fresh and tasty.

The table next to us has a pet carrier on the table and staff have said absolutely nothing. Disgusting. Especially considering several tables seem to be wiped with the same cloth.

Dropped relations off for 9.15 flight, check in at 7am. Web site says Costa open at 4.30am, but was still closed off at 7am. Asked a lady who was putting cakes out on counter what time they open and she said 7.40 ish
