Shahi Tandoori - Southampton

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening and was thoroughly impressed with the amazing food, great atmosphere, and incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Unfortunately, our dining experience took a turn for the worse when another customer began shouting and swearing at the staff, disrupting the entire restaurant. The staff handled the situation with grace, despite the unwarranted behavior from the disruptive customer. The food at this restaurant is truly top-notch.

If only I could I could give it no stars I would. I can only describe their food as SLOP doused in chilli powder. Good God you complain. I was set upon by at least 6 members of their staff. They became threatening and intimidating. I feel for the people of Botley having to suffer such disgusting food dressed up as Indian cuisine.

The Indian cuisine at this restaurant was delightful. We made a reservation for five people a week ahead and later added one more person without any hassle. The staff was very friendly, and I would definitely dine here again if I am ever back in the area.

I hadn't been to this restaurant in a while, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food and service were still great. The mint sauce recipe was still as delicious as ever. My whole family enjoyed their meal, especially the kids who loved the poppadoms, bhajis, and tikka masala. We can't wait to come back to Purbani soon.

Have been here a few times with friends- always worth booking as they can be busy. 3 of us with different curries, rices and breads and all good quality. I wasn’t drinking so ordered a coke and the waiter even took the time to let me know the price as large wasn’t on the menu. Good service all night and a reasonable cost. Will be back
