The Mitre - Southampton

An average pub. Reasonable beer. Pub style food is ok. Loads of sports TV screens; good if that’s your thing. Would have got a better review were it not for the appalling state of the gents’ loos. OMG! Now I realise that it can’t be easy keeping gents’ toilets in a punk clean and odour free. But these have to be some of the worst smelling loos I’ve ever had the misfortune to have to use. Surely the landlord/landlady/proprietor can realise the state of them and sort them out! A regular deep clean would help. Better still a re fit.

This venue is now our definitive venue of choice for what I would call our local. Ben and his team continue to offer an excellent service which caters for all ages food standards are excellent and the staff are all friendly and helpful our special thanks to Natalie, Peter and Toby in the Kitchen who is an excellent Chef and of course Ben who heads the team and brings it all together keep up the good work guys this venue is our chill out zone which we look forward to visiting.

Returned again to what has become our local of choice. Despite the very busy Christmas season there has been no drop in the service given. Christmas decorations and a huge tree have added to season of goodwill. We are looking forward to Christmas Day at this venue overall the happy and cheerful welcome from the staff to all their customers is something we look forward to on our visits

This green King menu is better than any other I've witnessed. Great choice of foods, and fair priced. Also does 2 meals for one. Great pub and spacious. This is our new favourite place. Been twice in one week so far.
