The Old House At Home - Southampton

Food good, a bit expensive!!!! Price per person: £10–20

We wanted to see the menu first, but before we could get our bearings, we felt we're backed into a corner as the very effusive bar person mmedaitely asked us what we'd like to drink. We hadn't seen the menu at this stage let alone sat down. The belly pork meal was quite pricey yet a very small portion. The vegetables were hard and the dauphinoise potatoes warmed up. The belly pork itself was supposed to be served with a black pudding crumb but it wasn't evident. Disappointed.

Yet another fabulous evening meal in the Old House at Home. Met up with long lost friends and had delicious food.... 5 different pies available plus the normal menu. Steak and kidney was lovely as were veg and chips. All food tasty and well presented, waiting staff helpful and welcoming. Free parking available Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Popped in for quick beer whilst waitng for the wife, friendly staff, prompt service, much improved since last visit a year or so backm Price per person: £10–20 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
