Wing Hong - Southfield

Today I had a very unfortunate incident occur when I picked up my food. When I walked in the owner assumed I was a driver, and every subsequent person who came in after me who was black as well.Before I was asked if I needed any help the lady behind the glass told me not to give any trouble. I was never even greeted with a hello. When I was asked to show my confirmation for my order for GrubHub I was told it wasn’t enough. Though it had my name my order my order number and the RESTAURANT NAME. She then went on to tell me that because I had no confirmation I would get no food. And that drivers often steal food. I explained a number of times I was not a driver. Then there was another young lady who I believe was a server who tried to come out and explain to her that I had my Grubhub receipt.There were several other patrons who also were trying to explain to her what was happening however she refused to listen. After showing my Grubhub receipt she began to say the discrepancy between my total on her end and my receipt was incorrect even after I told her I had a 10.00 Grubhub promo and even offered to pay the $10 she then took my food to the back and so no because she has lost money before because drivers steal implying that I still was a driver.After this and I after I’d paid I left and it wasn’t until someone named Simon called and said I could come back and get my food. Had I not paid through Grubhub and needed to feed my family I wouldn’t have gone back and I don’t think you should patronize this place either. To set up shop in a predominantly black neighborhood and decide that everyone is out to steal or cause trouble is atrocious and this place doesn’t deserve my dollars or yours!I called Grubhub and they called the restaurant and assured them I had paid but the damage was done!!Do not spend your money where you’re not welcomed!

This restaurant is in a plaza on the south side of 10 mile Road. It is on the west side of Southfield Rd. In Southfield I have been coming to this Chinese restaurant since I was four years old and happen to remember Mr. Wing Hong very fondly however, time has not been kind to this restaurant. The food is very tough and everything is fried and fatty. I’m sorry and hope it returns to the splendor of 50 years ago!

Did not give me correct gravy for my almond chicken order. Gave me teriyaki sauce instead of gravy late in the evening. My mother was ill had just left her bedside. The next day called, I talked to owner she was rude and belligerent and hung up on me and my son twice. She let me talk to assistant he told me to come get the gravy!When I got there, the owner said she fired him and accused me of wanting free food. I did not. I just wanted my correct gravy. Felt like slapping her or knocking over her counter. I'm paralegal studying to be an atty. Don't need criminal justice issues, only reason why I didn't! The owner insulted me like I was a bum very disrespectful! I recommend not eating there! I have money to buy what I want. I don't go around looking for free food! Will not go back in there ever again! Trust and believe!

Dine in, the pepper steak was very chewy It didn’t break down to swallow, the knife wouldn’t cut it. I asked to replace it with a chicken dish and the lady started yelling and would not replace or refund the meal. A gentlemen left his whole meal on the table and said it was the worst he had ever had….don’t know what that meat was, not beef

I just ordered a shrimp egg foo yong combo with shrimp fried rice and a shrimp eggroll. It’s obvious they don’t make shrimp fried rice… I received two piles of plain rice with four shrimp laid on top. After asking specifically do you make shrimp fried rice, and was told yes. Wing Hong does not make shrimp fried rice they give you plain rice and throw a couple of shrimps on top. Very disappointed.
