We also ordered the breadsticks which were so yummy! The service was amazing. Not only did our waitress come to check on us multiple times, but other staff made sure we weren’t in need of anything as well. Everyone was so friendly. Great experience.
I absolutely love this restaurant! The owners and the staff are always so warm and welcoming. Your missing out on good food if you don't try this place! Simply delicious ?
If you like old school pizza places this is it! Food is always good no matter what you get. Foggias has been here for 50+ years and it's a downriver staple.
We decided to try Foggia 's after reading so many great reviews. We 've always known it was in the Zodiac club, but we were never hard pressed to give it a whirl until recently when we couldn 't decide on something different for dinner. To get into the restaurant you have to go up the stairs (or take the elevator. The restaurant is immediately to the right. We were greeted and seated promptly. It was fairly early, so the restaurant wasn 't busy. The restaurant itself is very old school and outdated. I think that 's why so many people love it the nostalgia feel. I have to admit it was very dark in there and had an old bar smell to it, which for us, was a little unappealing. We did order a variety of food; pizza, antipasto salad, alfredo, etc. Our server was initially very prompt and friendly and made some food suggestions. The rolls brought to the table were just okay I wish they had more of a garlic taste to it. The salad I felt was pretty bland for an antipasto. The olives were sour (old and the lettuce was in huge chunks that could have been much smaller. No big deal I cut it up and it was fine. But for a $15 salad, I expected to be more wowed than I was. We also ordered ranch dressing on the side and it was terrible. It was sour and tasted spoiled. You could also tell it was the kind of ranch that comes from a tub not homemade. The pizza (a large special was really nothing that special. We all agreed that although the taste was okay, the crust was soggy and the pizza was floppy. Near the middle of our dining experience our server just disappeared and an older gentleman in a white apron (who I can only assume was the cook and/or busser came out and cleared dishes and brought our check and boxes. We never did see our server again after that. Overall, it was just a weird experience from the atmosphere to the service to the food. By the time we were getting ready to leave, the place was packed, however we couldn 't help but notice all diners were much older senior citizens. It was just not a place where we felt we would want to return. I debated heavily on posting a not so great review because this place has SO many good ones, however I wanted to put my opinion out there. I feel that the people who love this place are local families who have grown up on Foggia 's and it 's likely a nostalgia thing for them, which I can appreciate. It just wasn 't our cup of tea. Our family enjoys all types of pizza (Detroit Style, Round, Deep Dish, etc... but Foggia 's pizza just missed the mark for us.
Great pizza and antipasto salad. Their Fried cauliflower is yummy. Located on the upper floor of Zodiac racquet ball club. Wheelchair accessibility: There's an elevator
